The Council considered a report recommending conferral of the title of Honorary Alderman upon former Councillor Leah Turner.
Proposed by Councillor Munday, seconded by Councillor Fairhurst, following debate and a vote
It was
RESOLVED that:
a) The Council confers the title of Honorary Alderman upon former Councillor Leah Turner, who has rendered eminent service to the Council over and above a Councillor’s normal duties; and
b) The Democratic & Electoral Service Manager, following consultation with the Mayor, be instructed to make all further arrangements necessary with a view to the presentation of an appropriate framed scroll and Civic celebration on a date to be decided.
