John Lauwerys thanked the airport team for providing the report ahead of the meeting, with the publication of the agenda.
The Chair passed on Councillor Pretty and the Licensed Transport Forums thanks for ensuring that taxi and private hire vehicles dropping passengers with disabilities at the airport were able to use their blue badges for parking.
During the last quarter, a total of 29 complaints had been received, with 22 from one address.
Councillor Park requested that the noise complaints were presented in table form with comparisons against the previous quarter and previous years.
Councillor Savage raised concerns that it was difficult to notify the airport if their complaints app/website was down.
The Head of Airspace and Noise for AGS Airports Ltd stated he would look into that.
Councillor Savage asked the airport to think about thermal insulation and its possible impact in reducing carbon footprints when they were looking at insulation grants for noise.
The Head of Airspace and Noise for AGS Airports Ltd stated that they would look into it in the future, but it was not something he could comment on at present.
There was discussion around whether there would be active travel routes to the Navigation Quarter from the north of the area, whether further improvements would be needed for the Spitfire roundabout and the bridge areas, and possible increase in public traffic on an airport service road.
