To move that in accordance with the Council’s Constitution, specifically the Access to Information Procedure Rules contained within the Constitution, the press and public be excluded from the meeting in respect of any consideration of the exempt appendix to the following item.
Appendix 1 of this report contains information deemed to be exempt from general publication based on Category 3 of Paragraph 10.4 of the Council’s Access to Information Procedure Rules. This includes details of commercial terms and standings, which if disclosed could put the Council or other parties at a commercial disadvantage. It is not in the public interest to disclose this information as the report contains confidential and commercially sensitive information in relation to one of the Council’s suppliers. British Gas Blocks - Fire Risk Assessment Update
To consider the confidential report of the Cabinet Member for Housing Operations providing an update on the current position regarding the defective works carried out by British Gas Trading Limited (“BGTL”) when carrying out energy saving works at eight tower blocks at International Way and Thornhill. The report provides recommendations in relation to the legal process, financial approach, and planned remedial programme including interim works.
