1	Apologies for Absence	Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Rason.
2	Minutes	Minutes of Previous Meeting RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting of the Audit and Finance Committee held on 30 October 2023 be approved as a true record and signed by the Chairman.
3	Declarations of Interests	There were no declarations of interests relating to matters on the agenda.
4	External Audit Verbal Update on Financial Statements	Ernst & Young provided a verbal update on the financial statements. The Chief Finance officer extended his thanks to the external auditors. RESOLVED that progress report be noted.
5	2024/25 Draft Budget	Audit Finance Committee Briefing note - Budget 2024-25 Draft - HBC Budget Report 24 25 Full Council (V2) The Cabinet Lead for Finance introduced the 2024/25 draft budget and gave the Committee an opportunity to comment on the structure and presentation of the draft report. The Chief Finance Officer answered questions raised by Members of the Committee. It was noted that details of the proposed budget would be scrutinised by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 12 February 2024. RESOLVED that the report be noted.
