The site was viewed in light of a request by ward Councillors Forrow and Hulls that this application be determined by the Planning Committee.

The Working Party received a report by the Development Manager.

The Working Party viewed the site, the subject of the application, to assess whether there were any additional matters that should be considered by the Planning Committee.

In addition to viewing the application site, the Working Party also viewed the site from the neighbouring property; Eastview, St Peters Road, Hayling Island.

RESOLVED that, based on the site inspection and information available at the time, the following additional information be provided to the Planning Committee:

(a)        details on the height of the proposed stable in comparison to the existing garage block.
4 APP/24/00828 - 63 Geoffrey Avenue, Waterlooville, PO7 5BH
Proposal: Single storey rear extension measuring 3.78m in depth from existing conservatory wall, enlargement of front dormer and enlargement of rear facing flat roof dormer, removal of gable roof over front bay window and insertion of pitched roof light to front elevation.

The Working Party received a report by the Development Manager.

The Working Party viewed the site, the subject of the application, to assess whether there were any additional matters that should be considered by the Planning Committee.

In addition to viewing the application site, the Working Party also viewed the site from 65 Geoffrey Avenue.

RESOLVED that, based on the site inspection and information available at the time, the following additional information be provided to the Planning Committee:

(a)        details on the times during the day which sunlight enters the back of property 65 Geoffrey Avenue using sun tracking; and

(b)        details on whether the distance of the proposed dormer from the boundary is in line with fire safety guidelines; and

(c)        details on the planning guidelines surrounding loss of light.
