Chairman's Announcements

The Executive Director – Place announced that, following the update made to the previous meeting, the Council had appointed an Assistant Planner who would be working jointly with Planning and Enforcement teams and would be starting work at the beginning of May.

To consider the report of the Executive Director – Place, which provides an update on a number of current planning enforcement cases.

Minutes
The Sub-Committee received an update concerning incoming service requests referred to the Enforcement team to investigate alleged breaches of planning control and performance.
The Planning Enforcement Team Leader gave an update on a range of cases, as set out in the Appendix 2 to the Committee report concerning:
· Land south of Beechcroft, Hares Farm, Pickaxe Lane, South Warnborough
· Chapel Bungalow, Potbridge Road, Odiham
· Big Meadow, Wingate Lane, Long Sutton
· Land at Five Acres, Broad Oak, Odiham
· Land to the North of London Road, Hook – it was confirmed that the applicant had appealed the refusal of the retrospective planning permission for the boardwalk. Depending on the outcome of the appeal, Officers would be able to consider the appropriate next steps.
· Swallow Cottage, Rye Common, Odiham
· SANG at Moulsham Meadows, Forest Park, Yateley – it was noted that the Council’s Open Spaces Manager had met with the developer on site on 28 March 2025 and that the contractor present had agreed that the paths were sub-standard. It was noted that there had been recent evidence of work on site.
· Hatchwood Place (De Montford Place), Odiham
· Land north of Winchfield Court, Pale Lane, Elvetham, Hook
· Granary Court, South Warnborough
· 21 Elvetham Bridge, Fleet – the Sub-Committee agreed that, following a review of planning history and timeline, it would not be expedient to pursue formal enforcement action and the case would be closed.
· Nyasaland, Crondall Road, Crookham Village, Fleet –the Enforcement team had received a service request to investigate a further alleged breach of planning control. Officers would be visiting the site shortly.
Cllr Makepeace-Browne asked for her name to be added to the case file in order to receive updates when available.
· During further general discussion, Cllr Makepeace-Browne referred to complaints she had received about a site in her ward. The Sub-Committee was advised that the Enforcement team had received a service request to investigate an alleged breach of planning control in relation to that site and that Officers would be visiting the site shortly. Cllr Makepeace-Browne requested to be added to the case file in order to receive updates when available.
