1 Apologies for Absence

Apologies had been received from Cllrs Clarke and Collins.

 

Cllr Oliver was attending remotely and therefore would not be able to participate in any vote.

2 Declarations of Interest

No declarations of interest were made by Cabinet members.

 

Councillor Forster declared a pecuniary interest as he was a Hampshire County Councillor, receiving an allowance from them and also an allowance from Hart District Council.

Appendix 2 Draft Joint Interim Plan Submission HIOW

To agree to the interim Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) submission developed by the 15 Councils in Hampshire & Solent area, due to be submitted to the Government by 21 March 2025.

 

Members held an in depth debate and asked questions of the Leader and Officers.  The four points raised by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee were taken into consideration and a recorded vote was held.

For:  Bailey, Neighbour, Quarterman, Radley, Wildsmith (5)

Abstain:  0

 

(Cllr Oliver was unable to vote as he joined the meeting remotely)

 

Decision

 

Cabinet unanimously approved the Interim Plan in Appendix 2 for submission to the government by the 21 March 2025 deadline.
