Councillor Jo Slimin introduced the report as the lead member of the Climate Change Task and Finish Group. The report provided the Committee with a review of the work that had been carried out.
Members sought clarification on the definition for a Carbon neutral borough and raised concern in relation to the cost implications of Climate friendly infrastructure.

Review of work programme
The Committee is asked to note and review its Work Programme and to receive updates from the Lead Members of Task and Finish Groups.

The Chair introduced the work programme and gave a brief overview of the items that would be included on the agenda for the upcoming meetings.
Councillor Miller raised concern in relation to the terms of reference for the Committee as he felt there were a number of key areas that the Committee had not covered or were not scheduled to cover.
The Democratic Services Officer reminded members to submit a topic suggestion form in advance of the next Overview and Scrutiny Chairs meeting so that items could be scheduled on the work programme.
The Director of Regeneration reminded the Committee that Overview and Scrutiny Committees should not just be receiving updates on key issues but agreed to request a timeline from the Head of Planning to detail the revised local plan process.
